Democrats working hard for defeat.
Smelling the possibility of some political advantage leading up to the 2008 election, Democrats practically tripped over themselves getting up to the microphones to express their “outrage” over the revelation that the CIA had erased tapes of the interrogations of top terrorists. (Chicago Tribune, Toronto Star) In one of the few (known) intelligence successes of the post 9-11 era, these interrogations produced information that was “actionable,” accurate and resulted in the disruption of terrorist activities.
The CIA’s stated rationale for erasing the tapes was to protect the identity of the agents involved in the interrogation. This certainly seems reasonable given the fact the e-mail written by the agency’s director, Michael Hayden, to explain the erasure to CIA personnel was in the hands of the Associated Press within hours of distribution at Langley. (The Register) However, he neglected to mention that agents would need not only protection from al-Qaeda, but also several American Senators, Congressman, and left-wing activists.

Oh my god, are you serious about wanting to run this woman for president? All she appears to be at this point is Bush’s little go-bot. What does this woman think? All we know about her is that she was very cozy with the oil industry before she got the job and was a provost for a bit. She just took a HUGE failure in the NEI report, which shows that her bosses were sitting on the info for something like a year - did Condi know this? Is this something else she didn’t know? I honestly think you are deranged to be wanting this little chicky to run for president. Let her get a job at Exxon when she is thrown, oops I mean, when Bushco’s term is over.

The CIA has every right to erase these tapes or destroy any other evidence in the name of our Homeland Security. 9-11 created an alternate reality; most Democrats fail to recognize the implications of Geneva-like restrictions and reckless release of information which is vital to our safety and well-being. The Democrat hysteria surrounding the necessary erasing of these tapes exposes them for the opportunistic traitors they are. Thank God we have people like Condi who are still committed to the best interests of this country and its future.
